A strategy to enhance AGC performance of power systems that suffer inter-area oscillations and a case study for Turkish power system

open access: yes, 2012
Sufficient fast secondary reserve and its adequate dynamic activation are the key factors in satisfying automatic generation control (AGC) performance of a power system.

Evaluation of Automatic Generation Control (AGC) regulators by performance indices using data from real operation

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2007
Indices to evaluate AGC performance under both simulation and real operation are presented. These indices are based on functional dependence and statistical analysis avoiding large and long periods of data collection necessary for comparison of different regulators in real operation.

Performance of CSA optimized controllers of DFIGs and AGC to improve frequency regulation of a wind integrated hydrothermal power system

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2019
In the event of availability of wind and hydro power resources in a predominantly thermal power system, the wind power utilization policy may be chosen judiciously so that the frequency regulation capability of the system improves.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

A Particle Swarm Optimization Technique Tuned TID Controller for Frequency and Voltage Regulation with Penetration of Electric Vehicles and Distributed Generations

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
An interconnected power system requires specific restrictions to be maintained for frequency, tie-line power, and the terminal voltage of synchronized generators to avoid instability.

Functional Analysis of Ligand‐Gated Chloride Channels in a Cnidarian Sheds Light on the Evolution of Inhibitory Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We uncover a large variety of putative inhibitory ligand‐gated ion channels (LGICs) in the phylum Cnidaria, the sister group to all bilaterian animals. Phylogenetic analysis suggests a complex evolutionary history of inhibitory LGICs with diverse neurotransmitter ligands.

BIN1 and ALDH1B1 Deficiency in Colonic Smooth Muscle Drives Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Fibrosis in Slow‐Transit Constipation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Slow‐transit constipation (STC) is a disabling motility disorder with unclear smooth‐muscle mechanisms. Spatial proteomic analysis of STC patient colon reveals both the central pathogenic role of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) in STC and novel regulators of intestinal motility, BIN1 and ALDH1B1.

Designing Structure-Dependent MPC-Based AGC Schemes Considering Network Topology

open access: yesEnergies, 2015
This paper presents the important features of structure-dependent model predictive control (MPC)-based approaches for automatic generation control (AGC) considering network topology. Since power systems have various generators under different topologies,

Analisis Stabilitas Sistem Tenaga Listrik Dengan Automatic Generation Control (AGC) Dua Area Menggunakan Fuzzy Logic Controller

open access: yesMajalah Ilmiah Teknologi Elektro, 2018
The power system must be able to server the load in a sustainable manner with good service quality, such as constant voltage and frequency, quickly stabilized when load changes occur. The control generator automatically changes the frequency to the highest value when the system changes every time. This is called AGC.

Covalent Reprogramming of Kinase Binders to Modulate Protein Abundance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrophilic remodeling of a broad‐spectrum kinase binder reveals how subtle chemical changes reprogram protein fate. An acrylamide analog of a multi‐kinase binder selectively stabilizes Aurora kinase A (AURKA) by suppressing its ubiquitination, while a short‐linker variant converts this stabilizer into a degrader.
