Automatic Release Notes Generation
2020 IEEE 11th International Conference on Software Engineering and Service Science (ICSESS), 2020Release Notes (RNs) are one of the important artifacts in software development and maintenance. As, RNs are required when a new release of a software is planned to deploy. They contain all the changes made to the new release of project i.e. description of new features, improvements, bug fixes, deprecated features, etc.

Automatically Generating Release Notes with Content Classification Models
International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, 2021Release notes are admitted as an essential technical document in software maintenance. They summarize the main changes, e.g. bug fixes and new features, that have happened in the software since the previous release. Manually producing release notes is a time-consuming and challenging task. For that reason, sometimes developers neglect to write release

Automatic generation of release notes
Proceedings of the 22nd ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Foundations of Software Engineering, 2014This paper introduces ARENA (Automatic RElease Notes generAtor), an approach for the automatic generation of release notes. ARENA extracts changes from the source code, summarizes them, and integrates them with information from versioning systems and issue trackers. It was designed based on the manual analysis of 1,000 existing release notes.

Elevator Brake Release Automatic Control System
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011The brake release electrical control board is a very important element of the elevator rescue operation control system. The brake release board provides a power supply to operate an elevator brake by a battery in rescue operation mode to allow a motion of a car until the next floor level to release any passengers.

ARES: Automatic Release Service
2018This paper presents the Automatic RElease Service (ARES) developed by the Industrial Controls and Safety systems group at CERN. ARES provides tools and techniques to fully automate the software release procedure. The service replaces release mechanisms, which in some cases were cumbersome and error prone, by an automated procedure where the software ...

Semi-automatic generation of audience-specific release notes
Proceedings of the International Workshop on Continuous Software Evolution and Delivery, 2016Agile development methodologies encourage frequent releases. However, many releases can overwhelm clients, testers and users if they do not understand what the actual difference is between two versions. Every release raises questions like whether they need to update right away, whether functionality has been added or problems have been fixed and ...

SPT Energy Measurements: Manual vs. Automatic Hammer Release
Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, 2016The results of SPT measurements performed at five locations in Greece with varying stratigraphy, using manual or automatic hammer release along with ~900 recordings of the impact energy transmitted to the string of rods, are presented. The measured values of energy ratio (ER) and associated uncertainty (standard deviation, σ, and coefficient of ...

Attack and release times of automatic-gain-control hearing aids
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1977The attack and release times were measured on each of three samples of 27 different models of compression-type hearing aids using the test conditions specified in ANSI Standard S3-22 (1976). The results indicate that almost all of the hearing aids tested have attack times less than or equal to 10 ms.
