Nanofiber PVA‐Based Membranes Incorporating Functionalized Spanish Broom Derivatives for Sustainable Water Purification

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study investigates Spanish broom (Spartium junceum) as a renewable source for electrospun composite membranes in sustainable water purification. MCC and biochar were functionalized with eco‐friendly precursors and nanomaterials (i.e., HNT, β‐CDs) to develop hybrid PVA nanofiber composites.

Carbon‐Negative Upcycling of Sewage Sludge into Superiorly Stable Gel Via Liquid‐Phase Utilization Strategy for Water‐Remediation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work developed a low‐temperature sludge hydrothermal coupled with gel crosslinking strategy which could upgrade the waste liquid generated from sewage sludge hydrothermal treatment into the hydrothermal‐liquid‐gel. The inventive hydrothermal‐liquid‐gel exhibited the enhanced pollutant removal capability, high synthetic stability, and superior ...

Dioxomolybdenum(VI) Complexes Supported by Fluxional Bis(amide)‐Functionalized Aminophenolate Ligands

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
New bis(amide) aminophenolate ligands form dioxomolybdenum(vi) and dioxotungsten(vi) complexes showing solvent‐dependent nuclearity. Whilst monomeric complexes featuring methoxide ligands are obtained in methanol, water triggers formation of μ‐oxo‐bridged dimers via oxo exchange, verified by 18O labelling.

Genetically Engineered Nanobody–Recombinant Antibody Colloidal Gold Strip for Ultrasensitive Atrazine Detection in Fruits and Vegetables

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
A sensitive colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay for atrazine was successfully established using genetically engineered nanobody‐recombinant antibody, which overcame the shortcomings of traditional antigen‐antibody. ABSTRACT Colloidal gold immunochromatography (CG‐ICA) is distinguished by its cost‐effectiveness and rapid detection capabilities ...
