Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Digital Entertainment, 2012 The automatic orchestration problem is that of assigning instruments or sounds to the notes of an unorchestrated score. This is related to, but distinct from, problems of automatic expressive interpretation.
