Análise da Substituição de um Software Proprietário por um Software Livre sob a ótica do Custo Total de Propriedade: Estudo de Caso do Setor de Peças Automobilísticas

open access: yesRevista Contemporânea de Contabilidade, 2006
The present paper is about a case study on automobile pieces which aimed at comparing the total cost ownership (TCO), obtained through questionnaires and accounting documents, of two softwares, one with an owner and the other free, in order to detect the

An Embodied Paper‐Based Microfluidic Al‐Air Battery for Enduring Untethered Insect‐Scale Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a centimeter‐scale microfluidic aluminum–air battery (MFAAB) with dual‐surface anode and F−‐mediated byproduct decomposition. The design enables a high capacity of 2697.05 mAh/g Al and delivers tens of milliwatts to power LEDs, motors, and a toy car.

Understanding the Catalytic Determinant role of Diaphorase‐Like Subunit in Formate Dehydrogenases via Redox Couples

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique mechanism of catalytic bias regulated by diaphorase‐like subunit in formate dehydrogenase from Rhodobacter aestuarii is revealed. The diaphorase‐like subunit functions act as a biological “voltage rheostat” that controls the slow release of NADH to regulate redox balance, biasing the enzyme's catalytic preference toward CO2 reduction over ...

PlantGFM: A Genomic Foundation Model for Discovery and Creation of Plant Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A plant genomic foundation model pre‐trained on 12 species enables both accurate gene prediction and de novo gene design. Through AI‐human knowledge screening, seven designed sequences showed transcriptional activity in plants, with two expressing stable proteins—demonstrating the first DNA‐RNA‐protein expression of LLM‐generated genes in plants and ...

Projections of automobile ownership and use based on household lifestyle factors. [To year 2025]

open access: yes, 1979
This report projects to the year 2025 the total number of automobiles that would be owned by American households, (total ownership) and the total number of miles that these vehicles would be driven per day (total use) given certain assumptions about the ...

A Wireless 3D Magneto‐Mechanical Stimulation Platform Drives In Situ Chondrogenic Commitment of Endogenous MSCs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An intracellular magneto‐mechanical platform utilizing MSC‐targeted nanomotors is developed. After intra‐articular delivery, these nanomotors target endogenous BMSCs and are actuated within lysosomes to execute trans‐planar rotational‐bouncing motions under a rotating‐fluctuating 3D magnetic field, generating amplified mechanical stimulation.

Tumor‐Specific Delivery of CD28 siRNA via Lyso‐PC C‐16 Modified Lipid Nanoparticles Overcomes Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance by Remodeling Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops 16:0 LPC‐modified lipid nanoparticles (LPC‐LNPs) with cancer cell specificity by exploiting altered tumor lipid metabolism. LPC‐LNPs encapsulating Cd28 small interfering RNA (LPC‐LNP‐Cd28) knock down cancer cell CD28 without affecting T cells, inflame the tumor microenvironment, and overcome anti‐PD‐1 resistance.
