Novel Phosphazenium Tetrafluoroborate Dopant Enables Efficient and Thermally Stable n‐Doped Organic Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel n‐dopant, phosphazenium tetrafluoroborate (P2BF4), is introduced for efficient n‐doping in N2200, P(PzDPP‐CT2) and other organic semiconductors (OSCs). P2BF4‐doped OSC films exhibit exceptional thermal stability, maintaining electrical conductivity after heating at > 150 °C for 24 h. This stability allows organic thermoelectric devices based on

Effect of Hydrogen Profile in Flash Memory SiNx Charge Trap Layer with Different Silicon to Nitrogen Ratios

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Memory window and reliability characteristics of ONO stack in NAND flash memory depends on the N/Si ratio of SiNx. During post annealing treatments (N2 or FGA), hydrogen from ONO stack significantly affect the electrical characteristics. For Si‐rich SiNx, N2 anneal induces de‐hydrogenation leading to enhanced characteristics.

Characterization and Reporting Protocols for Structural Power Composites: A Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Here, the issues for testing and reporting on structural power composites are described: multifunctional materials that can carry loads while providing electrical energy. As well as proposing best practice, the development of a “universal coupon” is recommended for studying these materials and any interactions that occur between the two functions ...

In Situ Diffraction and Ex Situ Transmission X‐Ray Microscopy Studies of Solid‐State Upcycling for NMC Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Description of attached TOC figure: Phase evolution observed from in situ X‐ray diffraction experiments during upcycling of NMC622 is shown in a contour plot in the center. 3D nickel XANES maps generated using variable energy transmission X‐ray microscopy are presented on the left and right to capture the change in the distribution of nickel during ...

Templated N‐Doped Carbon Nanospheres with Tailored Porosity for High Performance PEM Fuel Cell Catalysts Under a Wide Range of Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Monodisperse mesoporous N‐doped carbon nanospheres (MPNCs with 10 and 28 nm pores, >100 nm particle sizes) are used as advanced supports for Pt‐based PEMFC cathode catalysts. Their tailored intra‐ and interparticle porosity boosts oxygen transport and mass activity.
