AUXILIARY PROBLEM PRINCIPLE EXTENDED TO MONOTONE VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES

open access: yesTamkang Journal of Mathematics, 1996
In the present work, the use of the operator method of regularization in the sense of Tikhonov, which makes it possible to develop an iterative scheme via auxiliary problem principle, converging strongly towards the solution of multi- valued monotone variational inequality within the absence of strong monotonicity condition of ...

Loose Engel structures

open access: yes, 2018
This article introduces the notion of a loose family of Engel structures and shows that two such families are Engel homotopic if and only if they are formally homotopic. This implies a complete h-principle when some auxiliary data is fixed.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Auxiliary Principle for Generalized Mixed Variational-Like Inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1997
The author uses the auxiliary principle technique to prove the existence of a solution of some new classes of variational inequalities, which are called the generalized mixed variational-like inequalities. This technique is used to analyze an iterative algorithm. Several special cases, which can be obtained from author's main result, are also discussed.

Identification of Stochastic Wiener Systems using Indirect Inference

open access: yes, 2015
We study identification of stochastic Wiener dynamic systems using so-called indirect inference. The main idea is to first fit an auxiliary model to the observed data and then in a second step, often by simulation, fit a more structured model to the ...

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

On a system of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman inequalities associated to a minimax problem with additive final cost

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
We study a minimax optimal control problem with finite horizon and additive final cost. After introducing an auxiliary problem, we analyze the dynamical programming principle (DPP) and we present a Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) system.

DDX3X induces mesenchymal transition of endothelial cells by disrupting BMPR2 signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Elevated DDX3X expression led to downregulation of BMPR2, a key regulator of endothelial homeostasis and function. Our co‐immunoprecipitation assays further demonstrated a molecular interaction between DDX3X and BMPR2. Notably, DDX3X promoted lysosomal degradation of BMPR2, thereby impairing its downstream signaling and facilitating endothelial‐to ...

On an inverse boundary-value problem for a second-order elliptic equation with non-classical boundary conditions

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2020
An inverse boundary value problem for a second-order elliptic equation with periodic and integral condition is investigated. The problem is considered in a rectangular domain.
