Adaptive antenna arrays for satellite communications: Design and testing [PDF]
When two separate antennas are used with each feedback loop to decorrelate noise, the antennas should be located such that the phase of the interfering signal in the two antennas is the same while the noise in them is uncorrelated.

Lead-Acid Battery Sizing for a DC Auxiliary System in a Substation by the Optimization Method
Lead-acid batteries are the most frequently used energy storage facilities for the provision of a backup supply of DC auxiliary systems in substations and power plants due to their long service life and high reliability. It is possible to define the load

Glycosyl Dithiocarbamates: β-Selective Couplings without Auxiliary Groups
In this article, we evaluate glycosyl dithiocarbamates (DTCs) with unprotected C2 hydroxyls as donors in β-linked oligosaccharide synthesis. We report a mild, one-pot conversion of glycals into β-glycosyl DTCs via DMDO oxidation with subsequent ring opening by DTC salts, which can be generated in situ from secondary amines and CS2.

Coordination, combination and extension of balanced samples [PDF]
The cube method allows the selection of balanced samples on several auxiliary variables with equal or unequal inclusion probabilities. Practical implementation of the cube method has raised questions concerning the selection of a multi-phase balanced ...

A Topological Approach to Spectral Clustering
We propose two related unsupervised clustering algorithms which, for input, take data assumed to be sampled from a uniform distribution supported on a metric space $X$, and output a clustering of the data based on the selection of a topological model for

Research and Application of Matlab/Simulink Simulation Model for the Train Auxiliary Converter
This paper gives a simulation model of auxiliary converter of the train based on Matlab/Simulink and analyzes the principle of the model. The actual application shows that this model provides great help for the selection and analysis of the main ...

Using Weights to Adjust for Sample Selection When Auxiliary Information is Available [PDF]
In this paper I analyze GMM estimation when the sample is not a random draw from the population of interest. I exploit auxiliary information, in the form of moments from the population of interest, in order to compute weights that are proportional to the

A note on the use of an origin shift in survey sampling: a conceptual perspective
In this paper, a simple origin shifted auxiliary variable z has been considered when the values of the main auxiliary variable x are completely known. The usability of z has been demonstrated both analytically and geometrically.
