Low-noise avalanche photodiode in standard 0.35-um CMOS technology
In this paper, we report on an Avalanche Photodiode (APD) fabricated in a standard 0.35-μm CMOS technology. The main electrooptical characteristics of the device are presented, showing a remarkably low-noise factor if compared to other CMOS APDs.

SiC avalanche photodiode array with microlenses
A simple technique to incorporate microlenes with small photodiode arrays is demonstrated and analyzed. Using this method, the fill factor was increased from 2.6% to 22.4% for a two by two array. Self‐Sustained Oscillations in MoS2 Optomechanical Resonators for VHF Optical Radio
This work demonstrates the use of 2D materials drum resonators to generate and modulate radio‐over‐laser signals. Taking advantage of the self‐sustained oscillations arising in cavity optomechanical systems by a continuous wave visible laser, a radio frequency signal is generated and frequency‐modulated by just changing a DC gate voltage.

Analytical Performance Modeling of InP-InGaAs Hetero-junction Avalanche Photodiode
In this study, an analytical model depending on experimental results for InPInGaAs avalanche photodiode at low bias was presented and the characteristics of gain for this photodiode were determined directly by the impulse response.

Shot Noise Suppression in Avalanche Photodiodes
We identify a new shot noise suppression mechanism in a thin (~100 nm) heterostructure avalanche photodiode. In the low-gain regime the shot noise is suppressed due to temporal correlations within amplified current pulses.
