Fluorine‐Doping of Mesoporous TiO2 Enables Efficient Defect Passivation for High‐Efficiency and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce an SF6 RIE plasma fluorination method for mesoporous TiO2, suppressing oxygen vacancies and improving charge extraction. The fluorinated TiO2 promotes uniform FAPbI3 film formation and enhances device performance under both one‐sun and indoor illumination.

Discretized Impedance-Based Modeling of Converter-Interfaced Energy Resources for State-Variable-Based Real-Time EMT Simulators

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics
Modern power systems are experiencing high penetration of voltage-source converter (VSC)-interfaced distributed energy resources and loads. Design, analysis, and reliable operation of such systems require extensive offline and real-time electromagnetic ...

Optimizing Diagnostic Accuracy of Clinical Red Flags in RASopathies

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT RASopathies are a group of genetic disorders caused by pathogenic variants in the RAS‐mitogen‐activated protein kinase (RAS–MAPK) signaling pathway, often presenting with congenital heart defects, craniofacial dysmorphisms, and developmental delays. To assess the diagnostic yield of genetic testing in patients with suspected RASopathies and to

Anomaly Detection in Cloud Components

open access: yes, 2020
Cloud platforms, under the hood, consist of a complex inter-connected stack of hardware and software components. Each of these components can fail which may lead to an outage.

Oldest well‐preserved euprimate petrosal, from the early Eocene of India (Vastan Lignite Mine, Gujarat)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract An exquisitely preserved, isolated partial petrosal with associated fragmentary stapes is described from the Vastan Lignite Mine (Gujarat, India), dated to the early Eocene (~54.5 Ma). Several anatomical traits (e.g., large petrosal plate; posterolateral entry of the internal carotid artery to the tympanic cavity; bony tubes surrounding the ...

A MultiBaker Map for Thermodynamic Cross-Effects in Dynamical Systems

open access: yes, 1999
A consistent description of simultaneous heat and particle transport, including cross effects, and the associated entropy balance is given in the framework of a deterministic dynamical system. This is achieved by a multibaker map where, besides the phase-

The β integrin modulates serotonin sensitivity via NPxY motifs to regulate egg laying and mechanosensation behaviors in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Integrin is an αβ heterodimeric receptor to the extracellular matrix; its binding to the matrix recruits focal adhesions to two NPxY motifs, the tyrosine phosphorylation sites in the cytoplasmic domain. Studies found that replacing tyrosines (Y) with phenylalanines (F) in the motif of β1 integrin displayed little developmental or ...

Singularities and symmetry breaking in swarms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A large-scale system consisting of self-propelled particles, moving under the directional alignment rule (DAR), can often self-organize to an ordered state that emerges from an initially rotationally symmetric configuration.

Large-Signal Stability Analysis of a Modular Multilevel Converter Based on Mixed Potential Theory

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
Modular multilevel converters (MMC) have been widely applied in high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems, while complex dynamic characteristics pose challenges for stable operation under large-signal disturbance.
