Average Convexity in Communication Situations

open access: yes
In this paper we study inheritance properties of average convexity in communication situations. We show that the underlying graph ensures that the graphrestricted game originating from an average convex game is average convex if and only if every ...

A Characterization of the average tree solution for tree games [PDF]

open access: yes
For the class of tree games, a new solution called the average tree solution has been proposed recently. We provide a characterization of this solution.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diplostomiasis in cultured Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in Iran

open access: yes‬‭Majallah-i ̒Ilmī-i Shīlāt-i Īrān, 1999
This is the first report of Diplopstomiasis among rainbow trout in Iran. In June 1997 Diplopstomiasis occurred within rainbow trout farm in west Azarbayjan province. Diagnosis was Diplostomum spathaceum. This farm has the sedimentation pound.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Questioning the use of ensembles versus individual climate model generated flows in future peak flood predictions: Plausibility and implications

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management
Accurate estimation of design floods is necessary for developing effective flood‐management strategies. Climate change (CC) studies on floods generally consider alterations in mean runoff using ensembles compared to a base period.

Moving the Goalposts: Addressing Limited Overlap in Estimation of Average Treatment Effects by Changing the Estimand [PDF]

open access: yes
Estimation of average treatment effects under unconfoundedness or exogenous treatment assignment is often hampered by lack of overlap in the covariate distributions.

Average-atom interatomic potential for random alloys [PDF]

open access: yes
An average-atom (A-atom) embedded-atom-method potential for random multicomponent alloys at any composition is derived analytically and validated by comparing A-atom and true random alloys bulk and defect properties, in model Fe-Ni-Cr systems. The A-atom

Does average skewness matter? Evidence from the Taiwanese stock market

open access: yes, 2020
This paper replicates Jondeau et al. (2019) on the topic of average skewness which is the average of monthly skewness values across firms. First, we consistently reproduce their main results and validate that average skewness negatively predicts the next-
