Average bit-error-rate performance of band-limited DS/SSMA communications
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2002Direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple-access (DS/SSMA) communications, strictly band-limited transmitter chip waveforms with excess bandwidth in the interval between zero and one, pseudo-random spreading sequences, an additive white Gaussian noise channel, and matched filter receivers are considered. First, a new expression for the average bit error

Average Bit-Error Rate of the Alamouti Scheme in Gamma-Gamma Fading Channels
IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2011Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) in free-space optics communications with subcarrier intensity modulation has been a big research issue due to the diversity gain of MIMO to mitigate the signal scintillation caused by the atmospheric turbulence. In this work, we have analyzed the performance of the Alamouti scheme in FSO links.

Average Bit Error Rate Analysis of Selection Combining over Beaulieu-Xie Fading Model
2020 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSC), 2020This research work investigates the error performance of Beaulieu-Xie (BX) fading channel with L-branch selection combining (SC) technique. First, the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of BX fading is derived by employing the SC technique. The analytical expression for the probability density function (PDF) is derived from the obtained CDF.

Peak to Average Power Ratio and Bit Error Rate Analysis of MultiCarrier Modulation Techniques
2020 International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP), 2020Filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) modulation technique has potential output in the 5G systems. The choice of FBMC over Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is attributed to lower Peak to Average Power Ratio(PAPR) and reduced Bit Error Rate(BER). FBMC benefits due to its structural simplicity achieved in FIR filter realization.

On the Average Bit Error Rate and Average Channel Capacity over Generalized Fading Channels
2015 IEEE International Conference on Ubiquitous Wireless Broadband (ICUWB), 2015In this paper, we present unified analytical expressions for the average bit error rate (BER) and the average channel capacity of single-branch receivers operating over generalized fading channels. More specifically, novel closed-form expressions for the average BER and the average channel capacity over generalized $\eta{-}\mu$ fading channels in terms

This paper evaluates the effect of end-to-end delay on lifetime and the average bit error rate for wireless sensor networks where each sensor node sends its data to sink via directional antennas. Using Mixed Integer Programming, lifetime is optimized for circular network topologies with different numbers of nodes.

Average Bit Error Rate and Sum Capacity in Heterogeneous Cloud Radio Access Networks
2015 IEEE 82nd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2015-Fall), 2015The performance analysis under various precoding strategies in heterogeneous cloud radio access networks (H-CRANs) is increasingly highlighted. In this paper, we focus on suppressing the inter-tier interference between macro base stations (MBSs) and remote radio heads (RRHs), which is severely affected by the application of precoding schemes.

Approximate equation of average bit-error rate in DS-CDMA systems over fading channels
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2003The transmission quality in mobile wireless communications is affected not only by additive white Gaussian noise, but also by multipath fading, which drastically changes the amplitudes and phases of wireless signals. It is one of the key themes in direct-sequence code-division multiple-access systems to evaluate average bit error rate (BER ...
