A Relay Selection Method for Battery-dependent Relay Nodes [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2017
Due to the fast power consumption and even the reduction of network lifetime caused by the frequent data forwarding for the battery-dependent relay nodes with higher channel qualities in collaborative communication network,a relay selection method is ...

On the Benefits of Edge Caching for MIMO Interference Alignment

open access: yes, 2015
In this contribution, we jointly investigate the benefits of caching and interference alignment (IA) in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) interference channel under limited backhaul capacity.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

A Note on the Deletion Channel Capacity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Memoryless channels with deletion errors as defined by a stochastic channel matrix allowing for bit drop outs are considered in which transmitted bits are either independently deleted with probability $d$ or unchanged with probability $1-d$.

On the Outage Capacity of a Practical Decoder Using Channel Estimation Accuracy

open access: yes, 2007
The optimal decoder achieving the outage capacity under imperfect channel estimation is investigated. First, by searching into the family of nearest neighbor decoders, which can be easily implemented on most practical coded modulation systems, we derive ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

The Impact of CSI and Power Allocation on Relay Channel Capacity and Cooperation Strategies

open access: yes, 2007
Capacity gains from transmitter and receiver cooperation are compared in a relay network where the cooperating nodes are close together. Under quasi-static phase fading, when all nodes have equal average transmit power along with full channel state ...

Average channel capacity in anisotropic atmospheric non-Kolmogorov turbulent medium

open access: yesOptics Communications, 2019
Abstract The average channel capacity of a free space optical (FSO) communication system running an intensity modulated Gaussian beam is examined in anisotropic non-Kolmogorov atmospheric weak turbulence based on Rytov variance. Results are obtained by employing the log-normal distribution of irradiance fluctuations corresponding to weak turbulence ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

MIMO Channel Gain Mechanisms Relative to SISO Channel

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2010
In contrast to the rest of wireless communication technologies, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology enjoys different gain mechanisms that make it very attractive for reliable high data rate wireless communications.
