Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

Innate Immunocompetent hiPSC‐Derived Neurospheroids Capture Early CNS Responses to rAAV

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Knowledge of human CNS immune responses to AAV‐based gene therapies remains limited due to the lack of immune‐competent human models. Here, a hiPSC‐derived 3D neuroimmune platform integrating neurospheroids and microglia is established using stirred‐tank bioreactors.

Charting Endocrine Progenitors Across Species and Organs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endocrine progenitors give rise to the hormone‐producing cells of the pancreas and intestine. Using single‐cell multiomics and proteomics, this study compares these progenitors across species, systems, and organs, mapping the conserved and species‐specific gene regulatory networks that guide their formation.

Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Dynamic Active Average Consensus

IEEE Control Systems Letters, 2021
We propose a continuous-time dynamic active average consensus algorithm in which the agents can alternate between active and passive modes depending on their ability to access to their reference input. The objective is to enable all the agents, both active and passive, to track the average of the reference inputs of the active agents.

Quantized average consensus: Discontinuities and hysteresis

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2010
Abstract It is well known that the consensus problem can be formulated in terms of a stabilization problem. In this note we consider continuous-time average consensus dynamics: We discuss how quantization can be included in the system, and focus on one model in which the agents’ states are communicated through uniform quantizers.

Threshold phenomenon for average consensus

2012 12th International Conference on Control Automation Robotics & Vision (ICARCV), 2012
In this paper, our main concern is to study the influence of the number of edges on the convergence rate and the total communication cost in distributed average consensus problems. We begin with the case of regular networks, i.e. networks for which the associated graph (vertices corresponding to sensors and edges being defined by communicating sensor ...

From Matrix-Weighted Consensus to Multipartite Average Consensus

IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, 2020
This article studies a consensus protocol, which is called a multipartite average consensus, of a multiagent system over signed undirected networks in which all agents could be partitioned into multiple subgroups and all agents in the same group converge to the average of their initial values.

Average consensus on general digraphs

IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and European Control Conference, 2011
We study the average consensus problem of multiagent systems for general network topologies with unidirectional information flow. We propose a linear distributed algorithm which guarantees state averaging on arbitrary strongly connected digraphs. In particular, this graphical condition does not require that the network be balanced or symmetric, thereby

Distributed Average Consensus With Quantization Refinement

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2013
We consider the problem of distributed average consensus in a sensor network where sensors exchange quantized information with their neighbors. We propose a novel quantization scheme that exploits the increasing correlation between the values exchanged by the sensors throughout the iterations of the consensus algorithm.
