Average power density spectrum of long GRBs detected with BeppoSAX/GRBM and with Fermi/GBM
From past experiments the average power density spectrum (PDS) of GRBs with unknown redshift was found to be modelled from 0.01 to 1 Hz with a power-law, f^(-alpha), with alpha broadly consistent with 5/3.

Does confining the hard-sphere fluid between hard walls change its average properties?
We use grand canonical transition-matrix Monte Carlo and discontinuous molecular dynamics simulations to generate precise thermodynamic and kinetic data for the equilibrium hard-sphere fluid confined between smooth hard walls. These simulations show that

In mammography equipment, the average glandular dose (AGD) is calculated from the incident air kerma (Ki) multiplied by conversion coefficients derived from Monte Carlo simulations, which consider breast thickness and density.

Dynamics of Eucalyptus Diameter Distribution in the State of Minas Gerais
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of age, site, and density factors on the dynamics of eucalyptus diameter distribution. Data were obtained from a continuous forest inventory measured at different occasions, stratified according to the ...

Climatology of globally averaged thermospheric mass density [PDF]
We present a climatological analysis of daily globally averaged density data, derived from orbit data and covering the years 1967–2007, along with an empirical Global Average Mass Density Model (GAMDM) that encapsulates the 1986–2007 data. The model represents density as a function of the F10.7 solar radio flux index, the day of year, and the Kp ...

Many humans live in large, complex political centers, composed of multi-scalar communities including neighborhoods and districts. Both today and in the past, neighborhoods form a fundamental part of cities and are defined by their spatial, architectural,

Probability Density Function Transformation Using Seeded Localized Averaging
Seeded Localized Averaging (SLA) is a spectrum acquisition method that averages pulse-heights in dynamic windows. SLA sharpens peaks in the acquired spectra. This work investigates the transformation of the original probability density function (PDF) in the process of applying the SLA procedure.

On the Average Density of Galaxies
The properties of spatial distribution of luminous matter are investigated analysing all the available three dimensional catalogues of galaxies. In standard view, galaxies are believed to have a fractal distribution at small scale with a crossover to an homogeneous one at large scale.
