A new index to estimate the corrosion resistance of aluminium‐containing steel

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, Volume 75, Issue 7, Page 902-913, July 2024.
A new index that estimates the corrosion resistance of aluminium‐containing steel is established and verified. This is based on the well‐known pitting resistant number but accounts for aluminium additions. It is shown that aluminium enhances the corrosion resistance of chromium‐containing steel, with a coefficient of 5.2.

The governance of policy integration and policy coordination through joined‐up government: How subnational levels counteract siloism and fragmentation within Swedish migration policy

Laser‐Synthesized Germanium Nanoparticles as Biodegradable Material for Near‐Infrared Photoacoustic Imaging and Cancer Phototherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 20, May 28, 2024.
Laser‐synthesized germanium (Ge) nanoparticles are presented as material with promising biodegradation behavior. Ge biodegradation proceeds rapidly through oxidation both in vitro and in normal tissues in mice with half‐life of 3.5 days. Strong optical absorption of Ge in the near‐infrared range enables photoacoustic imaging of bones and tumors, as ...

Self‐Assembly of Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Crystals on Arbitrary Surfaces for Efficient Amplified Spontaneous Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 5, Issue 2, February 2024.
Self‐assembly of hydrogen‐bonded amide‐based organic crystals, demonstrating an amplified spontaneous emission with a high endurance at ambient conditions, can be scaled on arbitrary surfaces such as optical fibers, flexible polymers, and hard photonic substrates for producing an organic laser diode of an arbitrary design.
