AVISPA: a web tool for the prediction and analysis of alternative splicing [PDF]

open access: yesGenome Biology, 2013
AbstractTranscriptome complexity and its relation to numerous diseases underpins the need to predict in silico splice variants and the regulatory elements that affect them. Building upon our recently described splicing code, we developed AVISPA, a Galaxy-based web tool for splicing prediction and analysis.

Avispa: a tool for analyzing software process models

open access: yesJournal of Software: Evolution and Process, 2013
ABSTRACTDefining and formalizing the software development process is a common means for improving it. Software process modeling is often a challenging and expensive endeavor, because a well specified process may still include inefficiencies that are hardly detected before enacting it.

SKE2SG: A Secure Key Establishment Scheme for Smart Grid Cyber‐Physical Systems Based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography

open access: yesIET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory &Applications, Volume 11, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Recent proposals by Mahmood et al., Braeken et al., and Chaudhry et al. aimed at establishing secure communication in AMI, asserting their methods fulfil the requisite security criteria. This paper, however, reveals that each of these proposals exhibits security vulnerabilities and lacks sufficient features for deployment.

MA‐LCPPA: A Multi‐Aggregator Lattice‐Based Conditional Privacy‐Preserving Authentication Scheme for Scalable and Quantum‐Secure VANETs

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper addresses the limitations of existing conditional privacy‐preserving authentication (CPPA) schemes in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), which are either computationally heavy or vulnerable to quantum attacks. It proposes a multi‐aggregator lattice‐based CPPA (MA‐LCPPA) framework that distributes verification across multiple roadside units ...

A new phylogeny of Anastrepha (Diptera: Tephritidae) based on nuclear loci obtained by phylogenomic methods

open access: yesSystematic Entomology, Volume 51, Issue 1, January‐March 2026.
We present an extensive phylogenetic analysis, based on 293 nuclear loci and 728 individuals representing 237 species of Anastrepha, the largest and most economically important New World genus of Tephritidae. The analysis strongly supports the monophyly of most Anastrepha species groups, also revealing previously unknown relationships among species and
