OBJETIVO: A mortalidade infantil no Estado de São Paulo tem mostrado uma redução progressiva nos últimos anos. Atualmente, atinge níveis para além dos quais uma maior redução parece desafiadora. Causas neonatais precoces correspondem a 50% desses óbitos.
