Axial Compression Ratio Limits of HSC Columns Confined with High-Strength Stirrups

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Research, 2010
A total of 10 high-strength concrete columns confined by high-strength complex stirrups were tested under cyclic lateral force and a higher constant axial loading. The results indicate that the hysteresis loop of this type of columns still shows plump spindle-shaped at higher axial compression ratio, with better ductility, energy dissipation capability

Ductility design of reinforced concrete shear walls with the consideration of axial compression ratio

open access: yesHKIE Transactions, 2015
To evaluate and quantify the effect of the axial compression ratio on the seismic performance of reinforced concrete walls, a comprehensive statistical analysis with 474 sets of experimental data was conducted. Stipulated limits on the axial compression ratio and their evaluation methods in various design codes were analysed and compared.

Experimental Study on Reinforcement Ratio of RCFT Columns under Axial Compression

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Research, 2011
It is clear from the former researches on reinforced concrete filled tubular steel (RCFT) structures that RCFT structures have better performance than concrete filled tubular steel (CFT) structures, in other words, because of the existence of reinforcement, the performance of RCFT differed from that of CFT.
