Axial Compression Tests of Cold-Formed Angles

Journal of Structural Engineering, 1999
This paper presents fixed-ended and pin-ended compression tests on cold-formed, in-line galvanized equal angles. Three nominal section sizes were tested ranging from nonslender to slender sections. Detailed measurements of material properties, residual stresses, and geometrical imperfections were conducted.

Axial Compression Test of RC Columns Consolidation with BFRP

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
12 RC columns were made, including nine RC columns wrapped with BFRP, three RC columns without any reinforcement, to conduct the comparative study of axial compression. The result shows that the bearing capacity of the RC columns reinforced with the fibers increases obviously. The displacement ductility factor increases, but its increase rate becomes ...

Axial Compression Tests on ITER-TF Conductor Samples

IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2010
As demonstrated in the -superconductor cable of the ITER TF Model Coil (TFMC) has an average longitudinal stiffness inside the stainless steel jacket of about 1/10 of that calculated supposing all components are fully bonded. This conductor was wound towards the inner circumference of the grooves of a stainless steel mould and heat treated in it showed
