Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

The behavior of the electric field in X and O modes in traveling wave tubes filled with magnetized plasma

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2016
In this article magnetized plasma filled traveling wave tubes are investigated. The mentioned system, is located inside a cylindrical wall. The space between the helix and the wall is filled with dielectric material.

Fabrication and analysis of mechanical properties of PVC/Glass fiber/graphene nano composite pipes

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
The aim of this work is to examine the conventional moulding method for manufacturing the PVC/Glass fiber/graphene nano composites. Uniform graphene dispersion is observed with the matrix for better bonding.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Liquid-Phase Back mixing in Bubble Columns

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2013
Liquid-phase axial dispersion coefficients have been measured for air-water system in bubble columns of 10, 15 and 30 cm diameter. The experiments are carried out using a transient method (the tracer response method).

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Guided Waves in a Solid Rod Embedded in Infinite Medium with Weak Interface

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
The dispersion relation of the infinite long rod model with a weak interface has been deduced via wave equation of the guided waves and boundary spring interface model.

Effects of Temperature and Axial Strain on Four-Wave Mixing Parametric Frequencies in Microstructured Optical Fibers Pumped in the Normal Dispersion Regime

open access: yesPhotonics, 2014
A study of the effect of temperature and axial strain on the parametric wavelengths produced by four-wave mixing in microstructured optical fibers is presented. Degenerate four-wave mixing was generated in the fibers by pumping at normal dispersion, near
