Axial fan for computer

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2007
The axial fan for a computer comprises a rotatable fan blade unit and a motor unit. The fan blade unit comprises a fan head and a plurality of fan blades arranged radially thereto. The motor unit is held by supports passing through the airflow. The supports have a distance of at least 7.5 mm from the fan blades measured in axial direction.

Analysis of tip-leakage flow in an axial fan at varying tip-gap sizes and operating conditions

Computers & Fluids, 2019
Detailed and comprehensive analyses of the tip vortex system of a ducted axial fan are performed based on highly resolved large-eddy simulations. Various tip gap sizes, which are typically found in technical fans, and two operating conditions are ...

Axial flow fan

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2010
An axial flow fan of high efficiency and low noise level is provided. The fan includes a motor, an impeller having a plurality of blades around a hub fitted to the motor, and a fan casing having an air inlet on one side and an air outlet on the other, wherein a radial position with a maximum setting angle in a blade section, and a radial position with ...

Aero-Acoustic Analysis of an Axial Fan [PDF]

open access: possible, 2022
New fan concepts must achieve high efficiency and low noise levels in order to offer relevant alternatives in an increasingly competitive market. Analytical tools based on simplified theoretical approaches allow to quickly propose interesting concepts.

Study on static and dynamic characteristics of an axial fan with abnormal blade under rotating stall conditions

Energy, 2019
Based on Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equation and Realizable k-e turbulence model, the influence of abnormal deflection of two adjacent moving blades in an axial fan was discussed numerically.

Optimisation of efficiency of axial fans

2014
A three-stage research project has been executed to develop ducted axial-fans with increased efficiency. In the first stage a design method has been developed in which various conflicting design criteria can be incorporated. Based on this design method, an optimised design has been determined through the use of a genetic optimisation algorithm.

Axial fan, centrifugal fan, and electronic equipment employing one of these fans

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2003
A low-noise axial fan is provided with whirring sound minimized. The axial fan includes a plurality of blades arranged around a rotation axis at predetermined layout pitches. The blades are arranged at varied layout pitches. For instance, the layout pitch between the two adjacent blades may be different from the layout pitch between the remaining ...

Optimization design of axial fan blade

Zhongguó gongchéng xuékan, 2019
A series airfoil was obtained through optimization design which aimed to promote lift–drag ratio, and the new airfoil series was used to construct a blade.

CFD Analyzes of an Axial Fan

2020
The main objective of this study is to determine the flow in and around a cooling fan of an automotive engine by means of CFD computations using the commercial software package ANSYS Fluent. Two distinct external disturbances are applied: external flow characterized by the in-flow velocity U and covering plates placed on the suction side of the fan ...

Large-scale unsteady flow structures in the leakage flow of a low-speed axial fan with rotating shroud

Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science, 2019
The leakage flow in low-speed fans provided with rotating shroud has been surveyed by means of two-dimensional LDV and PIV. Measurements have been taken upstream of the rotor and in the gap area at different operating conditions.
