Analysis and Modeling of Axial Leakage for Spoke-Type Hybrid Permanent Magnet Machines

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
In this study, we propose a novel analysis method for a spoke-type permanent magnet (PM) synchronous motor (PMSM) using two types of PMs that consider axial leakage flux using a magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC).

Double Layer Magnet Design Technique for Cogging Torque Reduction of Dual Rotor Single Stator Axial Flux Brushless DC Motor

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2020
Cogging torque is the major limitation of axial flux permanent magnet motors. The reduction of cogging torque during the design process is highly desirable to enhance the overall performance of axial flux permanent magnet motors.

An Improved Two-Dimensional Simplification Calculation Method for Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor (APMSM) has the advantages of short axial size, high efficiency, and high power density. However, the three-dimensional magnetic circuit structure of this type of motor results in a longer calculation ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Analyzing distinctive rotor poles of the axial flux PM motors by using 3D-FEA in view of the magnetic equivalent circuit

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2017
Higher efficiency is always a desire for the electric machines researchers. One serious candidate is the axial flux permanent magnet motor to achieve that. These machines have advantages on power and torque density profile. This study aims to analyse the

H pile axial flux distribution [PDF]

open access: yes, 1959
Significant production gains could be made by improving metal rupture performance. A means of achieving this is by depeaking the axial flux distribution, thus reducing the maximum specific power for a given tube-power. The flux traverse program has provided some knowledge of front-to-rear flux, and was instrumental in prompting a change in the ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...
