Lamina Cribrosa and Choroid Features and Their Relationship to Stage of Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma. [PDF]
PurposeTo better understand the relationship of lamina cribrosa (LC) and choroid features to the severity of pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PXG).MethodsIn this cross-sectional study, 137 eyes of 122 subjects (47 eyes with moderate/advanced PXG [mean ...

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Permanent ocular remodeling in the setting of chronic hypotony after trabeculectomy: A case report
Purpose: Trabeculectomy surgery is a commonly performed procedure for treatment of glaucoma. While the goal is to lower intraocular pressure, over-filtration may cause hypotony with ocular structural changes and vision loss.

Kinetic Regimes of Hydrogen Absorption in Thin Films
Knowledge of the hydrogen incorporation mechanisms in thin layers in relation to the amount absorbed is essential to design coatings and devices compatible with hydrogen‐based technologies. A combination of simultaneous in situ methods gives detailed insight into the hydrogenation of a prototypical hydrogen absorber layer in a time‐dependent manner ...

Conventional doping of P3HT with F4TCNQ results in poor charge transport. However, when F4TCNQ is exchanged with LiTFSI, the transport characteristics are greatly enhanced. We find the increase in charge transport is directly related to an increase in the mesoscale ordering of P3HT, resulting in longer and better‐connected transport pathways.

Diabetes mellitus and the eye: axial length
Background and aims: The refractive error of the eye is dependent on its axial length. Refractive error is known to fluctuate significantly in poorly controlled diabetic patients. Recently it has been reported that human eyes fluctuate in axial length during the day.

Linear Paul trap design for an optical clock with Coulomb crystals
We report on the design of a segmented linear Paul trap for optical clock applications using trapped ion Coulomb crystals. For an optical clock with an improved short-term stability and a fractional frequency uncertainty of 10^-18, we propose 115In+ ions
