AXIAL LENGTH FOLLOWING SCLERAL BUCKLING
Retina, 1982AbstractThe change in the axial length of the eye following 360° scleral buckling using 1/2 thickness, 7.5 mm silicone implanted in a bed of scleral dissection was measured in ten patients and ten autopsy eyes.

Axial Globe Length in Congenital Ptosis
Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 2015Purpose: To compare axial globe length between affected and unaffected sides in patients with unilateral congenital ptosis. Methods: This prospective observational study included 37 patients (age range: 7 months to 58 years). The axial globe length, margin reflex distance-1 (MRD-1),

Axial length and age at cataract surgery
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2004To examine the relationship between the axial length of the eye and age at surgery for cataract.Postgraduate teaching hospital.A retrospective review of a consecutive series of 1776 patients older than 40 years was performed. The patient's age at first-eye surgery, axial length, and preoperative and postoperative best corrected visual acuities were ...

To optimise the relationship between the actual and predicted refractive outcomes following phacoemulsification and axial length of the eye. Four intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation formulae were compared: SKR-T, Holladay I, Hoffer-Q and Haigis. Optical axial length transformation based on the original calibration of the IOLMaster was tested to ...

Arc-length-based axial deformation and length preserved animation
Proceedings. Computer Animation '97 (Cat. No.97TB100120), 2002In real life, some objects may deform along axial curves and the lengths of their skeletons usually remain constant during the axial deformation, such as a swimming fish, a swaying tree, etc. This paper presents a practical approach of arc-length-based axial deformation and axial-length-preserved animation. The space spanned by the arc-length parameter

The biometric changes of the human eye with lowered intraocular pressure (IOP), like those observed after glaucoma surgery, have been investigated by in vivo studies. Leydolt et al demonstrated IOP-dependent axial eye length changes in human eyes. An axial eye length decrease of 2 μm/mm Hg with short-term reduction of IOP was observed.

Axial Length and Refraction in Retinal Vein Occlusions
Ophthalmologica, 1998To assess whether axial length and refraction are risk factors for retinal vein occlusion, we measured these parameters in 88 consecutive patients with unilateral branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO), in 58 consecutive patients with unilateral central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) and in 50 patients selected as a control group.

Association between axial length and uveitis
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental OphthalmologyMultiple studies have examined the association between myopia and various ocular diseases, but there is no clinical report of the relationship between myopia and uveitis. This study aimed to elucidate the relationship between myopia and uveitis by comparing axial lengths (AL) of uveitis patients with control individuals. This study included 1052 eyes ...
