Thermal modeling of axial piston pump and application
2015 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics (FPM), 2015This paper analyses energy conversion and heat transfer in axial piston pump. According to it, the thermal mathematical model of axial piston pump is built by control volume method. This model can make full use of the dimension parameters of pump. The validity of the model is verified by the simulation for hydraulic system with axial piston pump.

The Shaft Torque of a Tandem Axial-Piston Pump
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 2006The objective of this study is to identify the best indexed position of two rotating groups within a tandem axial-piston pump for attenuating the torque ripple amplitude that is exerted on the shaft. By attenuating the torque ripple characteristics of the pump, other vibration aspects of the machine are also expected to be reduced.

The Effect of Oil Entrapment in an Axial Piston Pump
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1985Values of pressure caused by entrapment beneath a valve plate have been calculated. The technique used consists of the solution of the dynamical equation of motion in the piston control volume. Instantaneous and average values of torque have also been deduced from the pressure distribution.

Analysis of the Run-in Behavior of Axial Piston Pumps
2018 Global Fluid Power Society PhD Symposium (GFPS), 2018Axial piston pumps are universal displacement machines that are used in a vast variety of applications. Their high pressure resistance and ease of operation make them very popular, especially in mobile applications. Each pump is designed to last several thousand operating hours, but some fail before their expected time.

Modeling and Simulation of Axial Piston Hydraulic Pump
2011 Third International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2011The operating principle of the swash plate axial piston pump is analysed. Based on AMESim software, the modeling and simulation on the axial piston pump are conducted. The mechanical model, hydraulic model and complete simulation model are established and the simulation and analysis are carried out.

Reduction of axial piston pump pressure ripple
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2000The reduction in source flow ripple in hydraulic systems is the most effective method of reducing pump-generated pressure ripple and system noise. This paper describes reductions in axial-piston pump delivery flow ripple achieved using a novel timing mechanism which is inherently speed, flow and pressure sensing.

Fatigue analysis of the cylinder in the axial piston pump
2015 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics (FPM), 2015For the cylinder of the axial piston pump suffers complicated forces including hydraulic pressure force, mechanical forces and mutual coupling, which causes the cylinder fatigue damage with all forces whose fluctuation is caused by fluid striking on the cylinder of the pump cyclically, it is necessary to develop the fatigue analysis research.

Dynamics Simulation Study of the Axial Piston Pump
Advanced Materials Research, 2013Kinematics analysis based on the structure parameters of SCY14-1B type axial piston pump is taken in this paper, and the motion laws of the pistons relative to the cylinder block and the swash plate are got. A matlab simulation of the motion law is taken and the comparison between theoretical analysis and simulated results is very good.

Pressure Transients in an Axial Piston Hydraulic Pump
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1974A method is given for calculating pressure transients in an axial piston hydraulic pump. Some theoretical predictions are given of the effect of port timing and the effect of introducing restricting grooves at the ends of the kidney ports in the valve plate and suggestions are made of the effects of these parameters on noise emission; comparative ...

Improving the Volumetric Efficiency of the Axial Piston Pump
Journal of Mechanical Design, 2012The volumetric efficiency is one of the most important aspects of system performance in the design of axial piston pumps. From the standpoint of engineering practices, the geometric complexities of the valve plate (VP) and its multiple interactions with pump dynamics pose difficult obstacles for optimization of the design.
