Coxeter's enumeration of Coxeter groups

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract In a short paper that appeared in the Journal of the London Mathematical Society in 1934, H. S. M. Coxeter completed the classification of finite Coxeter groups. In this survey, we describe what Coxeter did in this paper and examine an assortment of topics that illustrate the broad and enduring influence of Coxeter's paper on developments in ...

Further Results on Geometric Properties of a Family of Relative Entropies

open access: yes, 2011
This paper extends some geometric properties of a one-parameter family of relative entropies. These arise as redundancies when cumulants of compressed lengths are considered instead of expected compressed lengths.

Multidimensional Topological Measure Spaces and Their Applications in Decision‐Making Problems

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper presents a generalized framework termed the multidimensional topological measure space (MDTMS), developed through multidimensional fuzzy sets, multidimensional topology, and an associated distance measure. The suggested framework enhances traditional fuzzy models by facilitating a more nuanced representation and examination of intricate ...

Fixed Points of Suzuki Contractive Mappings in Modular b‐Metric Spaces With an Application

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
We introduce the concept of a generalized ZC‐type Suzuki contraction utilizing the generalized framework of metric spaces known as the partial modular b‐metric space in the light of an amorphous binary relation. This conceptual advancement facilitates the derivation of a series of relation–theoretical common fixed‐point theorems, underscoring the ...

Delving Into the Depths of the Properties and Behavior of Bipolar Pythagorean Neutrosophic Metric Spaces: A Theoretical Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper advances the theory of bipolar Pythagorean neutrosophic fuzzy (BPNF) sets by establishing their formalization within a topological and metric framework, while also demonstrating their role in decision‐making under uncertainty. The main contributions are as follows: (1) definition and characterization of BPNF topological spaces, providing a ...

Subgroup Decomposition of the Gini Coefficient: A New Solution to an Old Problem

open access: yesEconometrica, Volume 94, Issue 1, Page 169-192, January 2026.
We derive a novel decomposition of the Gini coefficient into within‐ and between‐group inequality terms that sum to the aggregate Gini coefficient. This decomposition is derived from a set of axioms that ensure desirable behavior for the within‐ and between‐group inequality terms.

Fast Shapley Value Approximation Through Machine Learning With Application in Routing Problems

open access: yesNetworks, Volume 86, Issue 4, Page 402-427, December 2025.
ABSTRACT For many routing applications, it is not only necessary to minimize total costs but also to allocate them to individual customers. In this context, the allocation according to the Shapley value is a well‐known method highly regarded for its fulfillment of major fairness criteria.

Intergenerational Equity and the Forest Management Problem [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper re-examines the foundations of representation of intertemporal preferences that satisfy intergenerational equity, and provides an axiomatic characterization of those social welfare relations, which are representable by the utilitarian ordering,

Generalised asymptotic equivalence for extensive and non-extensive entropies

open access: yes, 2020
We extend the Hanel and Thurner asymptotic analysis to both extensive and non-extensive entropies on the basis of a wide class of entropic forms. The procedure is known to be capable to classify multiple entropy measures in terms of their defining ...

Learning in random utility models via online decision problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Economic Theory, Volume 21, Issue 4, Page 494-526, December 2025.
Abstract This paper examines the Random Utility Model (RUM) in repeated stochastic choice settings where decision‐makers lack full information about payoffs. We propose a gradient‐based learning algorithm that embeds RUM into an online decision‐making framework.
