Axiomatic Potential Theory, Asymptotic Values and Elliptic Differential Operators

Potential Analysis, 2000
The authors generalize a result of R. J. M. Hornblower on the boundary behaviour of subharmonic functions in the unit disc of the complex plane. They prove that these results are also true in a much more general setting of linear axiomatic potential theory.

Axiomatic Foundation of Potential Theory

1980
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the axiomatic foundation of potential theory. Classical potential theory can more or less be characterized as the study of the equation of Laplace. It is found that, for a general open set, a candidate for the solution of the Dirichlet problem is given by the method of Perron-Wiener-Brelot method.

Knowledge discovery and semantic learning in the framework of axiomatic fuzzy set theory

Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews: Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, 2018
Axiomatic fuzzy set (AFS) theory facilitates a way on how to transform data into fuzzy sets (membership functions) and implement their fuzzy logic operations, which provides a flexible and powerful tool for representing human knowledge and emulate human ...

Nuclear potential in axiomatic quantum field theory

Nuclear Physics, 1964
Abstract It is shown here that a transition from axiomatic quantum field theory to Schrodinger equation can be accomplished provided the extrapolation of the scattering matrix off the energy shell is performed in a certain way. However, if one wants an equation which is valid for all physical energies, the appropriate equation is what is called here ...

Elementary Process Theory: a formal axiomatic system with a potential application as a foundational framework for physics supporting gravitational repulsion of matter and antimatter

Annalen der Physik, 2010
Theories of modern physics predict that antimatter having rest mass will be attracted by the earth's gravitational field, but the actual coupling of antimatter with gravitation has not been established experimentally. The purpose of the present research was to identify laws of physics that would govern the universe if antimatter having rest mass would ...
