About the axiomatizations of fuzzy set theory

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1991
The author discusses two axiomatizations of fuzzy classes already proposed by \textit{E. W. Chapin} [Notre Dame J. Formal Logic 15, 619-634 (1974; Zbl 0236.02049)] and \textit{A. J. Weidner} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 6, 61- 72 (1981; Zbl 0469.03037)], adding the basic axioms of his own theory, where the following conditions are intended to be fulfilled: 1 ...

An Axiomatization of 'Very' within systiems of Set Theory

Studia Logica, 2003
The author intends to give an axiomatization of fuzzy set theory as an extension \(\text{ZF}_v\) of standard \text{ZF} set theory by introducing a unary ``very''-operator \(v\) which assigns to each set \(x\) another one \(v(x)\subseteq x\). His main point is to treat fuzzy sets in a qualitative way as non-crisp objects of a cumulative universe \(V_v\)
