New LHC bound on low-mass diphoton resonances [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We derive a new bound on diphoton resonances using inclusive diphoton cross section measurements at the LHC, in the so-far poorly constrained mass range between the Upsilon and the SM Higgs.

Resonance of Gravitational Axion-like Particles

open access: yesUniverse
The motion of gravitational axion-like particles (ALPs) around a Kerr black hole is analyzed, paying attention to the resonance and distribution of spectral radiation. We first discuss the computation of gR˜μνρρσRμνρσ and its implications with Pontryagin’s theorem, and then a detailed analysis of Teukolsky’s master equation is carried out.

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

Interplay of ALP couplings at a muon collider

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Axion-like particles can couple to Standard Model gluons, electroweak gauge bosons, and massive fermions. A future multi-TeV muon collider provides a favorable environment to probe axion-like particles through multiple production channels, including ...

Reconciling the CAST and PVLAS Results

open access: yes, 2006
The PVLAS experiment has recently claimed evidence for an axion-like particle in the milli-electron-Volt mass range with a coupling to two photons that appears to be in contradiction with the negative results of the CAST experiment searching for solar ...

Virtual axion-like particle complement to Euler-Heisenberg-Schwinger action [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We modify action in an external electromagnetic field to include effects of virtual axion-like particle (ALP) excitations. A measurable addition to QED-Euler-Heisenberg-Schwinger (EHS) action is obtained and incorporated into experimental constraints ...

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Mixed axion/neutralino cold dark matter in supersymmetric models

open access: yes, 2011
We consider supersymmetric (SUSY) models wherein the strong CP problem is solved by the Peccei-Quinn (PQ) mechanism with a concommitant axion/axino supermultiplet.
