Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

Unparticle effects on Dark Matter production from photon and axion-like

open access: yesCommunications in Physics
In this work, we study the effects of vector unparticle on the \(a\gamma \to \chi \bar{\chi}\) process, where \(\chi\) is a dark matter fermion. Our numerical results show that the cross-section takes values from \(8.23 \times 10^{-15}\,\text{barn}\) to

A Light Supersymmetric Axion in an Anomalous Abelian Extension of the Standard Model

open access: yes, 2009
We present a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (USSM-A) with an anomalous U(1) and Stueckelberg axions for anomaly cancellation, generalizing similar non-supersymmetric constructions.

An All‐Optical Driven Bio‐Photovoltaic Interface for Active Control of Live Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐photovoltaic Interface (BIO‐PV‐I) for live cell manipulation is presented. BIO‐PV‐I can be activated non‐invasively and remotely to control the spatial motility, adhesion, and morphology of cells adhering to it. BIO‐PV‐I uses a patterned light‐induced electric potential in iron‐doped lithium niobate crystals whose light‐driven and reversible nature,

Axion-like particles in radiative quarkonia decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract Radiative quarkonia decays offer an ideal setting for probing Axion-Like Particle (ALP) interactions. This paper provides a comprehensive review of ALP production mechanisms through the e + e − → γa process at B- and Charm-factories, alongside an analysis of ...

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...
