Phanerozoic Large Igneous Province, Petroleum System, and Source Rock Links
Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

Neuromodulation strategies are increasingly needed to stimulate, restore, or replace altered neuronal activity in disease. Cobalt ferrite‐barium titanate (CFO–BTO) magnetoelectric nanoparticles convert low‐intensity static magnetic fields into local electrical modulation of cortical networks.

An electro‐templating strategy directs the relaxation of cholesteric finger loops into discrete concentric rings whose geometry is electrically programmed. The photopolymerized structures retain the topological defect pattern and, upon heating, show reversible, castle‐like surface modulation.

Discrete 2D Material Programming for 3D Shaping and Morphogenesis‐Inspired 4D Bioprinting
Cell‐compatible discrete 2D material programming enables 2‐to‐3D shape transformation and morphogenesis‐inspired 4D bioprinting. By patterning cell‐supportive microdomains within a responsive hydrogel, the approach programs in‐plane growth to encode target metrics.

Determination of permanent deformation of flexible pavements using finite element model
The unbound granular material used in flexible road pavements exhibits an elastoplastic behaviour under repetitive traffic loads. Permanent deformation occurring on pavement surface under traffic load is one of the main road pavement problems affecting ...

Abstract Emulsion separation remains a persistent challenge in chemical and process industries due to the metastable nature of dispersed droplets. In gravity separators, the overall separation rate is governed by the formation of a densely packed zone (DPZ) of deforming and coalescing droplets that mediates between the dispersed and continuous phases ...

A circular cylinder of finite height that is in the conditions of axial symmetric deformation is considered. Compressive loads are applied to the bases of the cylinder. The Erie stress function is represented in the form of Legendre polynomials.

Magnetic soft robots offer promise in biomedicine due to their wireless actuation and rapid response, but current fabrication methods are complex and have limited cellular compatibility. A new, contactless bioassembly strategy using hydrodynamic instabilities is introduced, enabling customizable, centimeter‐scale robots.

A comparative study for the performance of encased granular columns
This paper describes a three-dimensional (3D) numerical analysis of a test embankment on geotextile-encased columns (GECs), in comparison with two-dimensional (2D) axisymmetric and plane strain analyses.
