An electro‐templating strategy directs the relaxation of cholesteric finger loops into discrete concentric rings whose geometry is electrically programmed. The photopolymerized structures retain the topological defect pattern and, upon heating, show reversible, castle‐like surface modulation.

Discrete 2D Material Programming for 3D Shaping and Morphogenesis‐Inspired 4D Bioprinting
Cell‐compatible discrete 2D material programming enables 2‐to‐3D shape transformation and morphogenesis‐inspired 4D bioprinting. By patterning cell‐supportive microdomains within a responsive hydrogel, the approach programs in‐plane growth to encode target metrics.

Computational Modelling of Piston Ring Dynamics in 3D
Advanced computational models of a piston assembly based on the level of virtual prototypes require a detailed description of piston ring behaviour.

Magnetic soft robots offer promise in biomedicine due to their wireless actuation and rapid response, but current fabrication methods are complex and have limited cellular compatibility. A new, contactless bioassembly strategy using hydrodynamic instabilities is introduced, enabling customizable, centimeter‐scale robots.

Analysis of deformations of road embankments founded on displacement columns improving soft subsoil [PDF]
Drilled displacement columns, constructed in the form of unreinforced or reinforced concrete elements, are currently a very commonly used method of improving soft subsoil, creating an alternative to more expensive pile foundations.

Does the round sphere maximize the free energy of (2+1)-dimensional QFTs?
We examine the renormalized free energy of the free Dirac fermion and the free scalar on a (2+1)-dimensional geometry ℝ × Σ, with Σ having spherical topology and prescribed area.

Determination of permanent deformation of flexible pavements using finite element model
The unbound granular material used in flexible road pavements exhibits an elastoplastic behaviour under repetitive traffic loads. Permanent deformation occurring on pavement surface under traffic load is one of the main road pavement problems affecting ...

Double Helix Structure for Stable Flexural Actuation in Soft Robotics
This work introduces a double‐helical architecture for soft robotic actuators that enhances twisting resistance, increases output force, and minimizes undesired deformation. Actuators driven by shape‐memory alloy wires exhibit a roughly fivefold higher torsional/flexural stiffness ratio and 50% greater force output.

Double-trace instability of BTZ black holes
We perform a comprehensive study of the linear stability of rotating BTZ black holes under massive scalar field perturbations with double-trace boundary conditions. While BTZ black holes are stable under standard Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions,
