Temperature Influences on Springback of AZ31 Sheet

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
Researches on bending property of the AZ31B magnesium alloy sheet have been focusing on the loading methods and their own performance, while the temperature is less concerned in the past. In this paper, the law of the springback with the temperature changing was especially studied.

Ion Implanted AZ31 Magnesium Alloy

Materials Science Forum, 2007
Ion implantation was applied to modify the surface properties of magnesium alloy. About 75 keV titanium ions with a dose of 5×1017 ions/ cm-2 and about 35 keV nitrogen ions with a dose of 3×1017 ions/ cm-2 were implanted into AZ31 magnesium alloy, respectively. AFM and FESEM were used to examine the surface morphology of the treated samples.

Ellipsometric Characterization of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy

Materials Science Forum, 2018
Ellipsometry is a non-destructive and indirect technique able to characterize both optical and dielectric properties of thin films and bulks, besides determining the thickness of thin films. This characterization is performed by evaluating the change in the polarization state of the incident light when it interacts with the material of interest.

Dynamic recrystallization in AZ31 magnesium alloy

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2007
Abstract The effects of temperature and strain rate, as the most important thermomechanical processing (TMP) parameters, on the microstructural evolution of AZ31 magnesium alloy were studied. This was performed applying hot compression tests at a temperature range of 250–450 °C with various strain rates.

The Effect of ECAE on the Ballistic Response of AZ31

2018
The equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) process that refines the grains by severe plastic deformation has been noted to increase the high strain rate compressive strength of metals, such as magnesium alloy, AZ31. However it is not known if the improvement in the properties translates to improvement in the ballistic properties.

Deformation Mechanisms of AZ31 Magnesium alloy

2016
A detailed investigation of the deformation mechanisms plays an important role for a better understanding of texture evolution and anisotropic behavior of magnesium wrought alloys. Therefore, room temperature deformation tests of AZ31 hot rolled sheets and extruded bars have been performed.
