Abstract Two insecticidal tests were conducted in research greenhouses in Beltsville, MD. Tissue cultured plantlets were received from Apopka, FL and were grown in Promix BX for 3 mo in square plastic pots (10 × 10 cm at top). The first test was conducted in Jul ‘84.

Abstract On April 22, 30 3-wk-old plants that had been grown in square pots (10 × 10 cm at top) in 50% Perlite™ 50% Promix BX were chosen randomly for testing. Fifteen plants were each sprayed to runoff with 30 ml of water, 0.2% or 0.4% neem seed extract. The other fifteen were each drenched to drain-through with 150 ml of water,
