On the Thermodynamic Condition for Adsorption Azeotropes

Langmuir, 2023
Adsorption azeotropy is a common phenomenon in mixed-gas adsorption equilibria. Since the first literature report of binary adsorption azeotropes in 1933, numerous studies investigated the thermodynamic conditions for adsorption azeotropes but failed to reach definitive conclusions.

On the Azeotropic Behaviour of Adsorption Systems

Adsorption, 1999
This paper addresses the azeotropic behaviour of adsorption occurring on a heterogeneous solid, which is composed of patches of different adsorption energies. One of the adsorbates is excluded from adsorption onto one or more patches. If such species is the weaker adsorbing species, then the azeotropic behaviour does not occur.

Dynamic viscosity of azeotropic and quasi-azeotropic mixtures of organic compounds

High Temperatures-High Pressures, 2002
Azeotropic and quasi-azeotropic mixtures of organic compounds are becoming the most effective candidates as replacement fluids. Heat and mass transfer phenomena in organic compound mixtures have been theoretically studiedfrom several different points of view.
