Fluctuating shapes of the fireballs in heavy-ion collisions
We argue that energy and momentum deposition from hard partons into quark-gluon plasma induces an important contribution to the final state hadron anisotropies.

This work presents a dispersive full‐channel Jones matrix modulation strategy using single‐layer metasurface. By synergizing wavelength dispersion engineering with elliptical polarization bases, independent control of four Jones matrix channels is achieved across multiple wavelengths.

Determining the CP property of htt¯ coupling via a novel jet substructure observable
Determining the CP property of the Higgs boson is important for a precision test of the Standard Model as well as for the search for new physics. We propose a novel jet substructure observable based on the azimuthal anisotropy in a linearly polarized ...

Measurement of low-pT direct-photons with PHENIX [PDF]
Photons provide snapshots of the evolution of relativistic heavy-ion collisions as they are emitted at all stages and do not interact with the medium strongly.

Triple-differential cross sections for neutrons from high-multiplicity La-La collisions at 250 and 400 MeV per nucleon and Nb-Nb collisions at 400 MeV per nucleon were measured at several polar angles as a function of the azimuthal angle with respect to ...

We combine altermagnet with topological insulators and subject the structure to Floquet driving. This breaks time‐reversal symmetry and creates a new type of higher‐order topological insulator. Its key feature is the emergence of programmable “0/π‐corner modes” that can be controlled by magnetic field direction, offering a novel dynamic platform for ...

Seismic azimuthal anisotropy beneath the Pakistan Himalayas
Teleseismic S, SKS and SKKS data, collected from a temporary broadband array across the Himalayan front in Pakistan, are analyzed for shear‐wave splitting parameters. The SKS and SKKS phases have ray paths originating from both the South Pacific and Colombia which have azimuths approximately 40° apart with respect to the Pakistan array.

A magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) with two free layers shows four magnetization reversal phases governed by interlayer magnetic coupling (Jcpl). Phase 2 (sequential reversal) reduces write current (Iw) by 50% for 30‐nm‐diameter MTJs compared to Phase 4 (coherent reversal), while Jcpl also boosts thermal stability.

Analysis of Magnetization Dynamics in NiFe Thin Films with Growth-Induced Magnetic Anisotropies
We have used angled magnetron sputter deposition with and without sample rotation to control the magnetic anisotropy in 20 nm NiFe films. Ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy, with data analysis using a Bayesian approach, is used to extract material ...

Evidence for collectivity in pp collisions at the LHC
Measurements of two- and multi-particle angular correlations in pp collisions at s=5,7, and 13TeV are presented as a function of charged-particle multiplicity.
