Some observations on the occurrence of azotobacter in Finnish soils

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 1954
In the present paper some observations upon the occurence of Azotobacter chroococcum in Finnish soils are reported. Without enrichment Azotobacter could be cultivated on the agar plates only from 5 soils out of the 72 samples tested.

Effects of cobalt and manganese on biomass and nitrogen fixation yields of a free-living nitrogen fixer - Azotobacter chroococcum

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Biological Research, 2018
The effects of different concentrations of cobalt and manganese on the biomass and the ability of Azotobacter chroococcum to fix nitrogen were investigated. In vitro trials were conducted in Jensen’s (nitrogen free) broth (half strength) under continuous
