Evolution of the Transantarctic Basin (Southern Gondwana): Insights From Quantitative Sandstone Petrography

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
The deposition of the sandstone sedimentary succession of the Beacon Supergroup lasted more than 200 Myr (Devonian to Early Jurassic) in Victoria Land and nearby territories in the so‐called Transantarctic Basin, recording crucial events in the history of the Earth.

Making Blank Faces Expressive: Chemical Approaches to the Modification of Chemically Inert Peptides

open access: yesJournal of Peptide Science, Volume 32, Issue 3, March 2026.
As an alternative to the conventional approach, which combines amino acid monomers in a one‐by‐one fashion to peptide derivatives, the chemical modification of existing peptides has attracted significant attention in recent years. However, such approaches generally target the reactive functional groups in cysteine and lysine residues, particularly in ...

Anthropometric Failure and Associated Factors Among 6–59 Month Children Living in Gicumbi District

open access: yesPublic Health Challenges, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2026.
The overall prevalence of anthropometric failure among children under 59 months was 37.2%, significantly associated with female children who were 49.4% less likely to experience anthropometric failure. Children below two had an increased risk. No livestock increased failure odds by 2.5 times. One daily meal doubled the failure risk.

BiGraph‐DTA: Predicting drug–target interactions of hepatoprotective agents with graph convolutional networks

open access: yesQuantitative Biology, Volume 14, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Predicting drug–target affinity (DTA) is critical for discovering and developing hepatoprotective agents that can prevent and treat liver diseases. In this study, we propose BiGraph‐DTA, a new predictive model for identifying DTA score prediction for hepatoprotective compounds by combining graph convolutional networks and bidirectional long ...
