Differentiation of secondary involvement of the breast by lymphoreticular malignancy from fibroadenoma using ultrasound elastography: A report of two cases

open access: yesIndian Journal of Radiology and Imaging, 2017
Extramedullary lymphoma infiltration of the breast by lymphoblastic lymphoma is very rare and most cases are of B-cell lineage; T-cell neoplasms represent less than 10% of all breast lymphomas.

Navigating Asparaginase Treatment for Patients With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: US Consensus Panel Recommendations on the Role of Multidisciplinary Care

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Asparaginase is a critical treatment component for patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoblastic lymphoma (ALL/LBL). However, the successful delivery of asparaginase‐based therapy remains challenging across care settings due to its complex administration, distinct toxicity profile, prolonged treatment duration, and the need for ...

Repression of nuclear lamin A and C gene expression in human acute lymphoblastic leukemia and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cells.

open access: yesLeukemia research : a Forum for Studies on Leukemia and Normal Hemopoiesis, 1990
The lamins A, B and C which are differentially expressed during ontogenesis and differentiation are karyoskeletal proteins forming a polymeric meshwork at the inner nuclear membrane. Using Northern blot analyses we investigated the steady state levels of

Genomic characterization of pediatric B-lymphoblastic lymphoma and B-lymphoblastic leukemia using formalin-fixed tissues [PDF]

open access: yesPediatric Blood & Cancer, 2016
Recurrent genomic changes in B-lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) identified by genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) microarray analysis provide important prognostic information, but gene copy number analysis of its rare lymphoma counterpart, B-lymphoblastic lymphoma (B-LBL), is limited by the low incidence and lack of fresh tissue for genomic ...

Targeting B‐Cell‐Activating Factor and Its Receptor in Immune Thrombocytopenia and Warm Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current treatments for immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia (wAIHA), rare autoimmune diseases in which autoreactive B cells play a major role, can lead to high response rates; however, for many patients these responses are not durable or maintained after treatment discontinuation.

Nodular lymphocyte predominant hodgkin lymphoma and T cell/histiocyte rich large B cell lymphoma : endpoints of a spectrum of one disease? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In contrast to the commonly indolent clinical behavior of nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL), T cell/histiocyte rich large B cell lymphoma (THRLBCL) is frequently diagnosed in advanced clinical stages and has a poor prognosis ...

A case report of secondary B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia treated with a combination of FLT3 inhibitor and decitabine

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
Secondary acute lymphoblastic leukemia (s-ALL) refers to acute lymphoblastic leukemia that occurs after a previous malignant tumor, including therapy-related acute lymphoblastic leukemia (t-ALL) and prior malignant tumor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (pm ...

Histiocytic Sarcoma Following B-Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Clinical Pathology, 2019
AbstractObjectivesRare cases of clonally related histiocytic sarcoma (HS) following B-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (B-ALL/LBL) have been reported to date.MethodsWe present a patient with HS, which appeared as a breast mass 12 months after the initial diagnosis of B-ALL.ResultsBoth HS and the B-ALL shared IGH-MYC and IGK gene rearrangements.

Effect of developmental changes on pharmacokinetics of drugs used in the treatment of infant acute lymphoblastic leukaemia—A comprehensive review

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
While the event‐free survival (EFS) of children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) has improved greatly in the last decades, the EFS for patients diagnosed with ALL before the age of one is still under 50%. This outcome further decreases when infants have a rearrangement in the gene encoding histone‐lysine N‐methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A ...

Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.
