The topology of partial metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yes
The T0 world of Scott's topological models used in the denotational semantics of programming languages may at first sight appear to have nothing whatever in common with the Hausdorff world of metric space theory.

Dynamic Topological Logic of Metric Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Dynamic Topological Logic (DT L) is a modal framework for reasoning about dynamical systems, that is, pairs hX; fi where X is a topological space and f : X ! X a continuous function. In this paper we consider the case where X is a metric space.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Characterization of a b-metric space completeness via the existence of a fixed point of Ciric-Suzuki type quasi-contractive multivalued operators and applications

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2019
The aim of this paper is to introduce Ciric-Suzuki type quasi-contractive multivalued operators and to obtain the existence of fixed points of such mappings in the framework of b-metric spaces.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

Two classes of metric spaces

open access: yes, 2016
The class of metric spaces (X,d) known as small-determined spaces, introduced by Garrido and Jaramillo, are properly defined by means of some type of real-valued Lipschitz functions on X.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Some Extensions of Fixed Point Results over Quasi-JS-Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2016
We introduce the notion of quasi-JS-metric space. After defining the basic topological properties of quasi-JS-metric space, we investigate fixed point of certain mapping in the frame of complete quasi-JS-metric space.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
