Contour Detection of Mammogram Masses Using ChanVese Model and B-Spline Approximation
ChanVese model segmentation has been applied for contour detection of mass region in mammogram in our previous work. Available information of the desired object contour is used, in this paper, for B-spline approximation. The mass region boundary (contour)

Suppose \(z=\alpha+i\gamma\), \(\alpha >-{1\over 2}\), \(\gamma \in {\mathbb R}\). The complex B-spline \(\beta^z\) of complex degree \(z\) is defined in \(L_2({\mathbb R})\) via its Plancherel transform \[ {\hat \beta}^z(\omega)=\left ({1-e^{-i\omega} \over i\omega} \right )^{z+1}=e^{(z+1)\ln w},\quad w={1-e^{-i\omega} \over i\omega}, \] where the ...

Switchable Thermal Mid‐IR Conducting Polymer Antenna Arrays
This study presents switchable mid‐infrared plasmonic resonances in PEDOT antenna arrays. Their optical extinction peaks can be reversibly switched ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’ by tuning the polaronic charge carrier concentration via the polymer's redox state, offering modulation of optical responses in the thermal mid‐infrared range including around 10 µm ...

Ternary Coded Melody as Blind Audio Watermark
In this paper, we developed a new technique for blind embedding of ternary coded watermarks into audio files. Usage of ternary coding increases payload of the method that can be considered as an advantage against binary-coded watermarks.

Efficient Charge Transport in Zero‐Dimensional Perovskite for Ultrahigh‐Sensitivity X‐Ray Detection
A novel mono‐octahedral 0D Bi‐based Dpy3Bi2I12 perovskite strengthens the internal hydrogen bonds and forms a quasi‐2D lattice, exhibits exceptional charge transport and mobility, achieving high X‐ray sensitivity and ultralow‐dose imaging, and setting a new benchmark for 0D detector performance.

Counterexamples to the B-spline conjecture for Gabor frames
The frame set conjecture for B-splines $B_n$, $n \ge 2$, states that the frame set is the maximal set that avoids the known obstructions. We show that any hyperbola of the form $ab=r$, where $r$ is a rational number smaller than one and $a$ and $b ...

Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on
