An extension algorithm for B-splines by curve unclamping
CAD Computer Aided Design, 2002This paper presents an algorithm for extending B-spline curves and surfaces. Based on the unclamping algorithm for B-spline curves, we propose a new algorithm for extending B-spline curves that extrapolates using the recurrence property of the de Boor algorithm.

G2 Blending Ball B-Spline Curve by B-Spline
Proceedings of the ACM on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, 2023Blending two Ball B-Spline Curves(BBSC) is an important tool in modeling tubular objects. In this paper, we propose a new BBSC blending method. Our method has the following three main contributions: First, we use BBSC instead of ball Bézier to model the blending part to expand the solution space and make the resultant BBSC have better fairness. Second,

AbstractA disk B‐spline curve (DBSC) is an extension of a B‐spline curve and is used to represent a two‐dimensional (2D) region. DBSC is a useful 2D geometric representation and is widely applied in the 2D art design area, such as computer calligraphy, 2D computer animation, and nonphotorealistic rendering.

Curve Approximation with Quadratic B-Splines
Ninth International Conference on Information Visualisation (IV'05), 2006A curve approximation technique using quadratic B-splines is presented in this paper which automatically computes data points to minimize errors. This technique can be useful for efficient storage of geometric shapes in any graphic or CAD applications.

This paper is concerned with numerical algorithms for locally fairing cubic B-spline curves in order to obtain a fine curvature plot. A mathematical definition of relative fairness of curves is given in terms of the value of the third derivative step discontinuity. The methods discussed are based on \textit{J. A.

Pipelined computations of B-spline curve
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1992Pipelined structures for computing the B-spline curve are described. Various representations of the B-spline curve are explored, and their pipelined architectures are implemented. In comparison with previous approaches, the method used is more precise with the analysis of computational complexity in every computational environment, and the performance ...
