Increased Disarray of Extracellular Matrix Collagen‐I Fiber Network and Compromised Biomechanics in Aortae From Marfan‐Syndrome Mice Assessed Through Combined Opto‐Biomechatronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Combined structure‐function assessment in aortic rings from Marfan mice using MechaMorph Opto‐Biomechatronics technology relates increased elasticity (stiffness) and dynamic viscosity and less ordered extracellular matrix 3D‐structure (collagen) as potential causes for impaired Windkessel function and compromised haemodynamics in Marfan's syndrome ...

Interpolating and approximating spline curves

open access: yes, 2020
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vlastnostmi a algoritmy výpočtu hladkých křivek, konkrétně B-spline křivek. Tyto křivky mají své uplatnění v počítačové grafice. Výpočet B- spline křivek je definován rekurentně, a proto je téměř nutností používat počítače

Sulfur–Oxygen Competitive Coordination Allosteric Hydrogel for Triboelectric Nanogenerator‐Based Intelligent Tactile Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dynamic Ag+─S coordinated hydrogel with a sulfur–oxygen competitive coordination allosteric switch enables reversible tuning between soft–adhesive and stiff–robust states. Integrated with a lightweight 1DCNN classifier, the smart glove system achieves 99.70% laboratory and 93.35% real‐wear material recognition accuracy, offering a paradigm for self ...

A study of B-spline curves and surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The purpose of this project is to study and implement the B-spline curves and surfaces. A B-spline curve or surface is generated from a set of control points by using uniform and nonuniform quadratic B-spline, uniform and nonuniform cubic B-spline; and ...

Temperature‐Modulated MEMS Gas Sensor Array Enabled by Physics‐Informed Deep Learning for Thermal‐Runaway Characteristic Gas Discrimination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a 2 × 2 integrated single‐chip MEMS gas sensor array with temperature modulation and deep learning for discriminating thermal‐runaway characteristic gases. The array generates distinct temperature‐modulated response patterns for four characteristic gases (H2, CO, CH4, and CO2), while a HK‐MoE model is developed to achieve robust ...

Longitudinal Awake Mouse Brain Imaging Using Functional Ultrasound and Functional Ultrasound Localization Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Awake longitudinal multimodal ultrasound imaging integrates functional ultrasound (fUS), ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM), and functional ULM (fULM) to characterize cerebrovascular function, microvascular architecture, and flow dynamics within the same animals over time.

Thermal Shifts Dominate Single‐Gene Responses to Transcription‐Targeting Antibiotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal shifts reshape bacterial responses to transcription‐targeting antibiotics. In E. coli, temperature can dominate antibiotic‐induced genome‐wide expression, particularly outside 30°C–39°C, through changes in adenosine triphosphate (ATP), nucleoid organization, and drug‐target engagement.

Efficient algorithm for generating B-spline interpolation curves and surfaces from B-spline approximations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A useful and simple algorithm is presented for interactively generating B-spline interpolation curves and surfaces from B-spline approximation solutions. The difference between the data points and the B-spline approximation is used to modify the control

Galactokinase 1 Positively Regulates Mitochondrial Respiration by Phosphorylating TIMM13 as a Protein Kinase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
GALK1 acts as a protein kinase beyond the phosphorylation of galactose. GALK1 phosphorylates TIMM13 at Y73 in the cytoplasm. This phosphorylation prevents premature oxidative folding of TIMM13 and ensures its entrance into the intermembrane space of mitochondrion, positively regulating mitochondrial respiration.
