Qualitative modification of geometrically oriented methods for constructing spatial curves in C3D FairCurveModeler

open access: yesОмский научный вестник
The article provides a detailed algorithm for improving the C3D FairCurveModeler commands for constructing a class F spatial curve with approximation by a rational cubic spline Bezier curve (NURBzS-curve) and with approximation by a highdegree B-spline ...

Context‐Dependent Inverse Association of Glucose–Lipid Metabolic Status With Anemia: Evidence From Multinational Multicohort Analyses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across six multinational cohorts, higher triglyceride–glucose index values are consistently associated with lower prevalent and incident anemia, despite their established adverse cardiometabolic significance. This inverse relationship varies across inflammatory, cardiovascular, and renal contexts, suggesting that glucose–lipid metabolic status carries ...

Fitting Constrained Continuous Spline Curves. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Fitting a curve through a set of planar data which represents a positive quantity requires that the curve stays above the horizontal axis, The more general problem of designing parametric and non-parametric curves which do not cross the given constraint

Tracking optimization for propagation of electromagnetic waves for multiple wavelengths [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Computational Mechanics, 2008
The purpose of our work is to design dielectric composite structures with specific qualities. In this paper we construct interfaces of given material components such that the originated structure attains desired properties.Propagation of the ...

Amorphous Tungsten Driving Extraordinary Long‐Range Interlayer Exchange Coupling and Large Spin‐Orbit Torque

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The amorphous tungsten (W) is found to be a promising non‐magnetic interlayer simultaneously driving the long‐range interlayer exchange coupling and the large spin Hall effect in a synthetic antiferromagnet (SyAF). Thanks to these characteristics, efficient spin‐orbit torque switching is achieved in the SyAF.

The Cow or the Credit: Causal Relationship Between California Dairy Herd Consolidation and Anaerobic Digesters

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The California dairy industry has experienced considerable consolidation over the past 30 years. During this period, there has also been substantial technological innovation, implementation of the state's Low Carbon Fuel Standard program, and rapid adoption of anaerobic digesters.

Value of Information of Improved Traceability in Fresh Produce Markets

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traceability plays an important role in promoting a safe food supply by fostering transparent information exchange along the food supply chain. New technological innovations have the potential to improve traceability outcomes, as greater transparency along the food supply chain can aid in pinpointing precise origins of the contamination ...

Preoperative FIB‐4 Index as a Potential Factor Associated With Severe Postoperative Complications and Endogenous Organ Failure After Hepatectomy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that a preoperative FIB‐4 index ≥ 5.0 independently predicts severe complications and endogenous organ failure (EOF) following hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma. By capturing structural liver fragility and systemic vulnerability, the FIB‐4 index enhances surgical risk stratification beyond traditional functional markers ...

Discount curve estimation by monotonizing McCulloch Splines [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper a new and very simple method for monotone estimation of discount curves is proposed. The main idea of this approach is a simple modification of the commonly used (unconstrained) Mc-Culloch Spline. We construct an integrated density estimate

Morphing Rational B-spline Curves and Surfaces Using Mass Distributions

open access: yes, 2003
A rational B-spline curve or surface is a collection of points associated with a mass (weight) distribution. These mass distributions can be used to exert local control over the morph between two rational B-spline curves or surfaces.
