Diagnostic value of multi-b-value DWI for endometrial carcinoma and the optimal b value exploring

ISMRM Annual Meeting
Selecting the appropriate b value in DWI scanning to maximize the signal difference between endometrial tissues with different properties is conducive to the detection and accurate diagnosis of the endometrial lesion. The multiple b value DWI, especially b value > 1000 s/mm2, may play a crucial role in the detection of EC.

Spatial Variations of Seismic B-Values Distribution in China

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
Seismic frequency-magnitude relationship has been investigated in China, based on the earthquake data in the range ofM3.0 toM7.0 during the years 1986-2008, to study the potential of variations ofb-values with the depth. According to the results, there is a systematic decrease inbvalue with increasing depth of earthquakes.

Local b-values related to seismicity

Tectonophysics, 1974
Abstract To find a method by which the Caracas earthquake of July 29, 1967 could have been foreseen, a total of thirteen years of continuous seismographic records, recorded at the Seismological Institute Caracas (CAR), have been used to summarize the local seismic activity, in function of time and magnitude.

B-valued Chebyshev polynomials and the free Poincaré inequality for B-valued semi-circular systems

International Journal of Mathematics
We characterize [Formula: see text]-valued semi-circular systems in terms of a [Formula: see text]-valued free probabilistic analogue of Poincaré inequality. This is a [Formula: see text]-valued generalization of Biane’s theorem (see Theorem 5.1 in [P. Biane, Logarithmic Sobolev inequalities, matrix models and free entropy, Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.)

The effect of the magnitude uncertainty on the b value

Acta Seismologica Sinica, 2000
Since the magnitude is usually not the same from one catalog to another for the same earthquake, the calculated b value will change with different catalogs. Big b error is usually introduced when the magnitudes of the events are not well measured. For this reason, based on the uncertainty of the observed magnitude, i.e., the ‘apparent’ magnitude, the ...

ADC measurement in whole-body MRI for multiple myeloma: a three b-values vs. two b-values DWI comparison

La radiologia medica
To compare apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values in whole-body MRI (WB-MRI) reconstructed from diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) with three b-values (50-500-1000 s/mm2) compared with two b-values (50-1000 s/mm2).Patients with multiple myeloma who underwent 1.5 T WB-MRI were retrospectively included. Exclusion criteria were severe motion artifacts.

Evaluation of the spatial variation of b-value

2014
The estimation of the spatial variation of the b-value of the Gutenberg-Richter relationship is important for both the general interpretation of the mechanism of rock mass response and seismic hazard assessment. The interpretation of b-value as a parameter of rock mass response is discussed in this paper.
