HLA‐B8 in Raynaud's Phenomenon

Tissue Antigens, 1980
A study of the distribution of histocompatibility (HLA) antigens in patients with Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) is presented, based upon the analysis of RP patients with and without connective tissue disease (CTD). In all patients, the phenomenon preceded the other symptoms of CTD by several years.

Association of Wegener's granulomatosis with HLA-B8

Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology, 1979
Abstract An increased frequency of HLA-B8 was found in patients with Wegener's granulomatosis. HLA-B8 positive Wegener's granulomatosis patients did not have clinical characteristics which made them distinct from HLA-B8 negative patients. Since HLA-B8 has been found with increased frequency in certain “autoimmune” diseases, this finding may be ...

The Association of HLA‐B8 with Atrophic Thyroiditis

Tissue Antigens, 1979
One‐hundred‐and‐forty‐seven patients with autoimmune thyroiditis were studied with respect to HLA antigens as they related to various clinical features. HLA‐B8 was found to be significantly increased among 59 patients with atrophic thyroiditis (57% vs. 26% for controls) but was identical to controls in 88 patients with goitrous thyroiditis (26%).

The B8 type structure of Cu7In3

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 1997
Abstract The structure of Cu 7 In 3 is refined from single crystal X-ray data and the refinement is in agreement with earlier work. The structure is a NiAsNi 2 In type superstructure (B8) and not a γ-brass type structure.

Nonstoichiometry in B8‐Type NiSb

Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 1986
AbstractThe phase diagram of the nickel‐antimony system has been investigated between 40 and 54 at% Sb. The congruent melting point of γ‐NiSb (with NiAs‐structure) was found at 47 at% Sb and 1432 ± 5 K. Lattice parameters and pycnometric density of this phase were determined as a function of composition; both exhibit a change of slope between 50 and 51

HLA-B8 in sarcoidosis.

Annals of allergy, 1981
One hundred and seventy-four unrelated white patients with biopsied and clinically diagnosed sarcoidosis and a reference population of 97 were tested for HLA antigens. Selected comparisons showed a statistically significant association of HLA-B8 with the sarcoidosis group (28.9%) when compared to the reference group (15.5%).

Biotin (Vitamin B8) Synthesis in Plants

2011
Abstract Biotin, also known as vitamin H or B8, is an essential cofactor for CO 2 -manipulating enzymes found in all three domains of life. The past few years have seen decisive progress accomplishments on the elucidation of biotin metabolism in plants, at both the molecular and cellular levels, and several unique features are emerging.
