FIRE‐GNN: Force‐Informed, Relaxed Equivariance Graph Neural Network for Rapid and Accurate Prediction of Surface Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study introduces FIRE‐GNN, a force‐informed, relaxed equivariant graph neural network for predicting surface work functions and cleavage energies from slab structures. By incorporating surface‐normal symmetry breaking and machine learning interatomic potential‐derived force information, the approach achieves state‐of‐the‐art accuracy and enables ...

Microrobotic Catheterization of the Ophthalmic Artery for Targeted Treatment of Retinoblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A microrobotic platform is presented that allows teleoperated and autonomous navigation of flow‐driven magnetic microcatheters, MagFlow, into the ophthalmic artery for superselective intra‐arterial infusion of chemotherapy to treat retinoblastoma. Extensive benchtop validations with patient‐derived biomimetic phantoms under optical and fluoroscopic ...

Improved Affinity: A Customized Fluorescent Probe for the Rapid Detection of Butyrylcholinesterase

open access: yesChemosensors
This article presents the distinctive butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) fluorescent probe P5, designed via a targeting-site method. This method was proposed to enhance the affinity of the probe for BChE by targeting the peripheral anionic site (PAS) of BChE ...

Reduced rhinovirus-specific antibodies are associated with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease requiring hospitalisation

open access: yesBMC Pulmonary Medicine, 2012
Background Acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) are often linked to respiratory infections. However, it is unknown if COPD patients who experience frequent exacerbations have impaired humoral immunity.

EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.

Active Microrheology in Active Matter Systems: Mobility, Intermittency and Avalanches

open access: yes, 2015
We examine the mobility and velocity fluctuations of a driven particle moving through an active matter bath of self-mobile disks for varied density or area coverage and varied activity.

Clinical, Behavioral and Neuroradiological Phenotype in an Italian Cohort of Patients With Xia Gibbs Syndrome: A Multicenter Cross‐Sectional Study and Systematic Literature Review

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Heterozygous variants in the AHDC1 gene are associated with Xia Gibbs Syndrome (XGS), a genetic disorder with a highly variable phenotype. Cognitive impairment, motor delay, language delay, neonatal hypotonia, and sleep apnea are considered “cardinal” signs of the disease.

«Green-Ligand» in Metallodrugs Design—Cu(II) Complex with Phytic Acid: Synthetic Approach, EPR-Spectroscopy, and Antimycobacterial Activity

open access: yesMolecules
The interaction of sodium phytate hydrate C6H18O24P6·xNa·yH2O (phytNa) with Cu(OAc)2·H2O and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) led to the anionic tetranuclear complex [Cu4(H2O)4(phen)4(phyt)]·2Na+·2NH4+·32H2O (1), the structure of the latter was determined by X-
