Rolling texture in the intermetallic compound Ni76Al24(B)
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 1998The development of cold rolling texture in the intermetallic compound Ni3Al(B) has been investigated as a function of rolling reduction, using the conventional pole figure as well as the orientation distribution functions (ODF) method. The textures at low degrees of deformation have been found to be similar to the rolling texture of pure Ni cold rolled

Texture of echographic B-mode images
1988The influences of the properties of the sound field and of the effective density of scatterers within a tissue were investigated by a realistic simulation study. The results indicate a great dependence of the texture parameters on the depth of the insonated tissue volume. The density of the scatterers is revealed by the texture up to a limit set by the

Textural variations in B-mode ultrasonography: A stochastic model
Ultrasonic Imaging, 1981Analysis of textural patterns in gray-scale ultrasonography is frequently the basis for clinical diagnosis. It has been found, however, that texture is shaped not only by tissue microstructure but by characteristics of the imaging system as well. This paper describes computer and analytic models which give insight into the role of the imager in texture

NMR measurement on textures in rotating superfluid 3He-B
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1983Results from cw NMR measurements on superfluid 3He‐B in rotation are discussed. The measurements have been performed with the magnetic field oriented at different angles with respect to the rotation axis. The results illustrate the effect of rotation on different order parameter textures in a cylindrical container.

3HeB texture relaxation with parallel-plate geometry
Physics Letters A, 1984Abstract The transition between the texture of 3 HeB confined by a set of parallel plates and the texture of bulk 3 HeB influenced by a radio-frequency pulse is considered. The reverse relaxation process is studied experimentally. It turns out that the relaxation is not homogeneous.

Development of cold rolling texture in Ni3Al (B)
Scripta Metallurgica et Materialia, 1995High temperature intermetallic compounds like Ni[sub 3]Al are potential candidates for structural applications. Ni[sub 3]Al has an L[sup [sub 2]] structure and is ordered up to its melting point. The L1[sub 2] ordered structure of Ni[sub 3]Al may develop by ordering in a disordered F.C.C. structure.

Local histogram information content of ultrasound B-mode echographic texture
Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology, 1985In the diagnostic ultrasound community, the echographic B-scan texture is an important area of investigation since it can be analyzed to characterize the histologic state of internal tissues. In the present paper, a minicomputer based system was used to digitize B-mode images and to develop a method to measure their textural information. This method is

Development of texture in extruded Fe-Nd-B magnets
Journal of Applied Physics, 1988High-performance Fe-Nd-B magnets were prepared by consolidation of rapidly solidified melt-spun powders using a hot extrusion technique. The extrusion was carried out with various die openings to control the distribution of stresses and strains influencing the possible development of texture. A strong anisotropy in magnetic properties has been found in

Microstructure and Textures in Rolled and Recrystallized Ni3Al + B
MRS Proceedings, 1992The deformation and recrystallization structure as well as the evolution of crystallographic textures of heavily deformed, partially and fully recrystallized Ni 3 Al, ductilized with minor additions of boron, were investigated. The macroscopic orientation distribution was determined by X-ray pole-figure measurements and subsequent computation of the ...

On the texture of NdFeB permanent magnets
Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1990Abstract For NdFeB magnets, there is only the general process of sintering, or the elimination of pores. No evidence of any improvement in grain orientation is observed and this is associated with limited growth of Nd2Fe14B grains. This behaviour is different from that of the (SmPr)Co5 alloy. There is an indication of internal demagnetization in Nd
