Playable Hydrology: Learning About Flood Generation Processes Through the Gamified Rainfall–Runoff Model SplashTune

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Hydrological processes such as rainfall–runoff generation are inherently complex and often difficult to teach, particularly to students without prior background or interest. To address this challenge, we developed the gamified rainfall–runoff model SplashTune, using the educational programming language Scratch to support intuitive and ...

Apnea–Hypopnea Index Versus Hypoxic Burden as Predictors of Blood Pressure Response to Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Treatment in Patients With Obstructive Sleep Apnoe

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Volume 28, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with increased cardiovascular risk and hypertension. While continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy reduces blood pressure (BP), its effect shows substantial interindividual variability. Hypoxic burden (HB) has been proposed as a potentially superior predictor of cardiovascular outcomes ...
